Ducks Unlimited recognizes Thurmont couple

 

Leif and Shirley Olsen of Thurmont were recognized "for outstanding contributions to waterfowl conservation" at the recent annual banquet of the Frederick County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. The Olsens are DU life sponsors and are longtime members and proponents of DU's mission to conservation of habitat for wintering and migrating birds in Maryland. Leif Olsen has served the Frederick Chapter for over 17 years, including as treasurer and chairman.
